During the Mobile World Congress 2011 in Barcelona, Wind Mobile initiated a ringback tones exchange program for European mobile carriers.

A well-managed ringback tones service can bring in additional revenue going in the tens of millions of Euros yearly, which has been confirmed by Far Eastern operators in South Korea, India and China. We have proven time and again that, in Europe, ringback tones based services are a sustainable and profitable business model. Based on our experience from the three largest ringback tones service platform deployments in Europe, we see that the better part of the market potential in this area still remains untapped. During the Mobile World Congress we started talks with partners operating in Europe and the whole world and we look forward with great anticipation to the opportunities appearing for Wind Mobile in this line of business. With the experience of the three largest ringback tones deployments in Europe, we can offer to our exchange partners a unique know-how and its resulting added business value opportunities. – said Igor Bokun, Wind Mobile CEO.

With two successful migrations from the leading ringback tones supplier Comverse, Wind Mobile has a proven record of being able to deliver on its promises. In both cases, thanks to our platform and the support of our VAS Force, our customers have noted a significant increase in revenues which have taken them to leading positions on the European ringback tones market. Those experiences have allowed us to include comprehensive migration plans of ringback tones platforms running in any mobile network in our product portfolio. In order to increase the return on investment for such a migration and reduce the related risks to the customer, we usually work on the basis of a revenue sharing model – taking the burden of capital investments from the shoulders of our customers.
