Banks associated in Spółdzielcza Grupa Bankowa will now allow users of the SGB Mobile application to open a bank account using a selfie. The account opening process takes place in a safe environment for the user – in his SGB Mobile banking application – after accepting certain consents, and taking pictures of the face and ID card.
The introduction of this innovative feature in the banking application is, among others, the effect of cooperation between SGB Bank and Ailleron. As part of the cooperation, Ailleron provided: a comprehensive module for the eKYC remote process, and a mobile application and a UX project, with a main goal of combining the intuitiveness of the process with regulatory requirements. IDENTT technology supplied the project with biometric and ID document verification.
Identity verification is performed based on a biometric comparison of the photos in the ID card with the client’s selfie, and after recording a few user gestures. The solution meets the expectations of individual customers and allows them to open a bank account in just a few minutes!
– We are glad that the mobile SGB Bank can take pride in another breakthrough – digital onboarding for individual clients of the bank and SGB cooperative banks. Thanks to this, the banks became fully digital organizations. We are proud to be part of this change as we have become part of the SGB digital transformation process. It is a great distinction and commitment, so we will make every effort to maintain the pace of development, the highest level of support and provide new, unique functionalities for clients of SGB cooperative banks – emphasizes Maciej Kasprzak, General Manager of Challenger Bank Division at Ailleron.
