Software Mind SA, a Wind Mobile SA Group company, has successfully completed the implementation of a digital banking system in Bank Zachodni WBK – one of the major banks in Poland and CEE, and a member of the Santander Group.

The implementation consisted of an innovative platform known as LiveBank, which also premiered on mobile devices, both tablets and smartphones. At the moment the platform supports Android system devices, although it will soon be available for iOS as well. The next stage of the implementation process will be a mobile application for Windows Phone devices.

For Bank Zachodni WBK clients the implementation opens completely new service channels, which will significantly facilitate access to the bank’s services, especially via mobile devices. As LiveBank is integrated with Internet and mobile banking, the bank’s clients will have access to a tool supporting a full range of transactions enabling the remote completion of the most complex of banking operations, without the need to visit the bank. Apart from the platform itself, Software Mind has provided comprehensive consultancy support in terms of usability and user experience in the mobile and web versions, as well as creating state-of-the-art workstations for video consultants.

LiveBank is a unique platform created by Software Mind, which fills a gap between bank branches and web channels. In other words, we build a virtual branch that can offer the same services as a traditional branch but which is combined with the ease of mobile access. It should be emphasized that with this new application, the LiveBank platform can be also accessed from mobile devices such as tablets or smartphones. I am convinced that the future of the banking industry lies in LiveBank type solutions, which considerably reduce the costs of non-virtual branch operation. The interest of the market is considerable. We are currently negotiating platform implementation beyond Europe, especially in the Middle East, –  says Rafał Styczeń, President of the Management Board of Software Mind and Wind Mobile.

LiveBank is a modern, unique banking platform that allows the creation of virtual sales and client service channels with the use of video transmission and desktop sharing functions. It also makes it possible for the consultants to interactively present what the bank offers and services in real time. The platform’s authentication and authorisation mechanisms ensure full support for banking transactions in virtual branches. A very useful functionality of LiveBank is “1+2” videoconferencing in which the client is able to simultaneously communicate with their account manager and a specific expert, such as a broker. It is also worth noting that the interactive screens allow all parties to modify product parameters, and the effects of such changes are instantly visible to the client and account manager alike. The existing range of functionalities also supports the VIP class service for the most affluent clients, at a fraction of the traditional service price.

We are happy to say that LiveBank will bring about a revolution in the e-banking services for more than 3.5 million clients of Bank Zachodni WBK, the third biggest bank in Poland. Bank Zachodni WBK is a bank unsurpassed in its dynamic implementation of modern IT solutions and providing its clients with cutting-edge channels of communication. So far the bank has offered a number of products and services that were only available at bank outlets. Now, with the LiveBank platform in place, Bank Zachodni WBK clients will gain access to a virtual bank branch via a user-friendly online service with modern communication tools. It should be emphasized that with the new application, LiveBank will now be accessible from mobile devices, such as tablets or smartphones,- says Grzegorz Młynarczyk, Vice-President of the Management Board of Software Mind and Wind Mobile.
