80% of newly constructed 4- and 5-star hotels in Poland choose iLumio –the modern hotel guest services system created by Software Mind, a Małopolska company that is part of the Wind Mobile Group. The Hilton chain has also selected iLumio and will implement the system in the 235 rooms of the Hilton DoubleTree hotel in Kraków.
This is the third hotel belonging to the American chain that will implement the iLumio system. Hilton is not the only hotel giant to use the system. The solution has also been implemented by other chains, such as Holiday Inn, Puro and Best Western. It will also be implemented in the new facilities of the Zdrojowa Hotels chain – Baltic Park Molo in Świnoujście and Diune Hotel***** & Resort in Kołobrzeg, as well as in the Palace on the Water Hotel located near Zielona Góra.
iLumio enables hotel guests to use a multimedia entertainment system and keep up to date with information that may be of interest to them – from the hotel bill, to flight schedules and the current weather. Additionally, with the help of a dedicated mobile application, guests can use the Internet and HD TV on their smartphones, as well as control the automated features in the room – including the lighting and multimedia devices. iLumio also allows for ordering hotel services and room service, or reserving a table at the hotel restaurant.
Our system is the answer to modern trends we observe today in the hospitality industry. We are continually improving
our product so that hotel guests can enjoy the comfort of use without wasting time on unnecessary actions. This is why we are working on improvements to the
system that go beyond the standards of booking. iLumio will allow for the
reservation of a specific, favorite room, and thanks to modern solutions using
a smartphone, we will be able to use the ‘self check-in’, with our phone
serving as a digital key. iLumio has already been implemented by hotel chains
such as Hilton, Best Western, Puro and Holiday Inn, and we are currently in
talks with hotels in Germany and Dubai. Expansion to other, prospective markets
will strengthen our position and contribute to significant development of the
whole Wind Mobile Group, says Rafał
Styczeń, Chairman of the Board of the Wind Mobile Group.
In only the first quarter of this
year, Wind Mobile Group signed contracts for nearly 2,000 rooms, which is a
several-fold increase over the same period last year. Currently, over 10,000
rooms use iLumio and, according to estimates, in 2015 more than one million
people will come in contact with the system. iLumio was designed for the
hospitality industry but its potential was very quickly noticed in the tourist
and medical industries. Among its users are stadiums, including Wrocław Stadium
and Arena Lublin, as well as cultural facilities, such as Teatr Wielki – Polish
National Opera in Warsaw. Soon the system will also be available to visitors of
the National Forum of Music in Wrocław.
Thanks to its versatility in
adapting to the needs of modern customer service and presentation of multimedia
content, iLumio can be used in virtually every industry. The system is already
being used in two hospitals – in Kraków and Wrocław – and we are currently
getting ready to implement it in two additional large medical centers that want
to increase patients’ comfort, facilitate working conditions for their staff
and improve the flow of information, adds Justyna
Michalczyk, Managing Director of iLumio in the Wind Mobile Group.
