The Wind Mobile Group, which has had much success in Europe and the United States, is intensifying its expansion to the promising Middle Eastern market. “SMS2TV” is a product developed by Wind Mobile that has recently been adopted by the biggest television broadcaster in Saudi Arabia – MBC. The new system supports subscribers of the renowned global operator Virgin Mobile.

MBC is the largest and most-watched Arabic-language television in the world. Its portfolio includes over a dozen themed channels, with a line-up that includes such big audience hits as Arab Idol and Arabs Got Talent, each episode of which is watched by nearly 100 million viewers. The estimated viewership of MBC is nearly 300 million residents of the Arab world.
The “SMS2TV” platform, which was launched and implemented by Krakow’s Wind Mobile Group, lets viewers and others vote during entertainment broadcasts via text message. The system is a significant undertaking, especially in a country where talent shows enjoy such high popularity. The commercial start of the “SMS2TV” service is planned for before the Muslim holiday of Ramadan. During the holy month there is increased interest in television viewing, and thus, in the service itself, which, of course, translates into revenues for the station. The Saudi Arabia project is another step for Wind Mobile in implementing its dynamic strategy of international expansion.

For our company, the Middle East is a completely new, exciting and very promising market. Thanks to our many years of experience and innovative approach, we are certain we will be able to overcome the challenges it poses. We are confident that our portfolio will be enriched by another success and that we will gain essential experience. We have become experts in creating efficient and innovative technological solutions, thanks to which our customers can achieve the goals they set. We are constantly developing, which is why in the near future, we plan to launch a wide range of additional services, generating revenues both for us and our client – Virgin Mobile. Thanks to similar operations, we are consistently building our position in many demanding telecommunications markets, says Jan Wójcik, Member of the Board of Wind Mobile Group.

The success of Wind Mobile Group is built on cooperation with leading companies worldwide, both in IT as well as in the finance and hospitality industries. Products developed by the Krakow company have been adopted by all mobile operators in Poland, as well as other companies, such as mBank, ING Bank Śląski, BZ WBK, Hilton and Holiday Inn.
