In connection with the signed contract and fulfilled conditions entering it into force on 27 May 2014, Wind Mobile starts implementing the Ringback Tone platform for one of the mobile operators in Saudi Arabia.

This is the first implementation made by Wind Mobile in the region of the Middle East, and what is important, it takes place on the biggest market in the Persian Gulf region. With the population of 30 million, at the end of 2013 the number of mobile users in Saudi Arabia amounted to 51 million, which was similar to Poland. However, monthly average revenue per user (ARPU) for the operator in this country is at a very high level, which gives a unique potential for the development of operator’s vale-added-services, among others including the most popular – the ringback tones.

For subscribers in Saudi Arabia, the ringback tones service will be available in the third quarter of this year, and cooperation with the operator will base on the revenue-share model, which is a part of the development strategy of the company.

The first implementation of our product on the markets of the MENA region is a key point in the history of our company. We believe that the existence in Saudi Arabia will give us the opportunity for the further implementation of our products on the Middle East market, where credentials and reputation are of paramount importance. This implementation has also the second significant aspect from the point of view of the implementation of our strategy – it is a milestone on the road to start the One Ringback service on the GCC (Gulf Cuncil Countries) market – says Tomasz Kiser, the Vice President of Wind Mobile.

I am glad that after almost a year of activities conducted in the region, we brought about the signing of this contract. This bodes well for future projects we are working on directly and jointly with our local partner. We are confident that our product quality and innovative approach to communication solutions will be appreciated by our customers, as it was in the case of other markets – says Jan Wójcik, the Board Member for Foreign Sales of Wind Mobile Joint-Stock Company.

The Ringback Tone Platform, offered by Wind Mobile, enables mobile operators to offer the ringback tones, which means playing music or other audio material in place of the signal waiting for a call.

On the other hand, the One Ringback is a service that allows the purchase of digital music in the form of the ringback tones, regardless of affiliation to a specific mobile operator. The standardization of this service takes place both at the technical and business level. One Ringback is widely promoting the latest music hits, both in television campaigns, as well as by social media and the website www.halodzwonek.pl.
