On 6–7 May 2026, the leasing sector community will once again gather for the General Assembly of the Federal Association of German Leasing Companies (Bundesverband Deutscher Leasing-Unternehmen e.V., BDL), this time in the beautiful city of Potsdam. As an association member, we’ll be represented by Kamil Portka, taking part in the industry conversation. This year’s agenda will feature a range of insightful sessions, including:

  • A report on the current state and regulatory framework of the leasing industry, presented by Kai Ostermann from Deutsche Leasing Gruppe
  • A presentation on challenges in investment projects within the crafts sector, delivered by Dirk Palige from the German Confederation of Skilled Crafts
  • Insights into investments in security, defence, and the development of crisis and conflict regions – and their impact on the leasing industry, presented by Rafael Kraus from Universität der Bundeswehr München
  • A keynote on cybersecurity in small and medium-sized enterprises, delivered by Manuel Bach from the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI)
  • An auditor’s perspective on location analysis, presented by Christian Haas from Deloitte
