The idea of creating a unique technology conference for financial industry leaders came to the Ailleron team at the beginning of last year. During the Ailleron Innovation Forum 2023, we’ve been tuning into our customers and partners needs and the biggest challenges they face in financial technology services. Everything to make sure that the second edition agenda will exceed their expectations. And it did! This year , we created an expanded agenda with a new Workshop Day and Conference Day packed with presentations, panel discussions, case studies, and backstage talks on AI and human-centered innovation.

A new fast-growing technology conference in Cracow

During the two-day Ailleron Innovation Forum, almost 200 attendees emphasized the substantive content and joyful vibes the most. On the first day, they had the chance to participate in a high-level 4 workshops on generative AI, no code approach, digital sales process, data management, and the ITArchitects meeting. The new Workshop Day during Ailleron Innovation Forum was marked perfectly, attracting 66 inspired participants. The second Conference Day brought engaging panel discussions, inspiring success stories, and presentations focusing on generative AI, process automation, accessibility and inclusive design, and customer engagement.

The #AIF24 doubled the number of participants, speakers, and performers on stage. Even so, the relaxed atmosphere created by the Ailleron team and the well-chosen venue (The Manggha Museum) has remained the same, like the delight of first-time foreign visitors to Cracow.

I’ve never been to Poland before; it was my first time in Cracow. If you stay in the same place, I highly recommend the next AIF edition!

Workshop Day on Ailleron Innovation Forum empowering digital transformation in banking, leasing, insurance and FinTech

As our customers and AIF 2023 attendees suggested the Workshop Day idea, we were so motivated to realize it when putting together AIF24. The Ailleron workshops covered a wide range of topics, providing valuable insights for building the digital future of financial services. Participants included partners, clients, and industry professionals, all eager to explore the latest tech trends in financial technology services.

Led by Patrycja Leszek-Królikowska (UXLab Director, Ailleron) and Michał Walerowski (AI/ML & Data Solutions Director, Ailleron), the “Crafting Pixels & Accessibility – Build Your Own GenAI” workshop focused on the crucial aspect of inclusivity in AI. Participants learned how to design and implement generative AI tools that prioritize accessibility, ensuring that technologies cater to a wide range of users with diverse needs. The workshop provided actionable strategies to make AI solutions more inclusive, ultimately enhancing user experiences.

The “No-Code – No-Problem” workshop by Maciej Kasprzak (FTS General Manager, Ailleron), Rafał Winsław (Senior Business Analyst, Ailleron), and Anna Nikitina (Head of Global Demo Engineering, Creatio – Ailleron technological partner) was highly interactive one, empowered participants with the tools to harness no-code platforms. Attendees explored how no-code solutions could streamline processes and accelerate digital transformation, making it easier to create seamless digital services and experiences or implement solutions without extensive technical expertise.

Our LeaseTech and LiveBank divisions prepared a workshop about “Building a Digital Sales Process in Leasing”. Paweł Stach (Product Owner, Ailleron), and Waldemar Stelmach (Delivery Director, Ailleron) and Mateusz Wierzbiński (Customer Success Expert, Ailleron Live Bank), focused on how to apply the Service Blueprint methodology to improve leasing sales processes. Through a mix of guided insights and hands-on exercises, attendees learned how to optimize their sales journey by leveraging digital solutions. This session provided valuable techniques to streamline leasing services, improve customer experiences, and stay ahead of market trends.

With our other technological partner, AB Initio, we also provided a technical workshop, “Meet Data Management Experts—Hands-On” allowing attendees to dive deep into six specialized tracks on the AB Initio Data Platform. With a focus on data analysis, acquisition, quality, cataloging, masking, and metadata promotion, participants had the opportunity to work alongside experts to solve complex data management challenges and explore best practices for data-driven decision-making.

Finally, some of our most experienced #AilleronExperts: Zbigniew Glinka (Senior Solutions Advisor), Dariusz Skrzypoń (Software Architect), Szymon Rozwadowski (Senior Software Architect) and Jarosław Durak (Senior Software Architect) prepared unique meeting “Meet the IT Architects – What’s New Under the Hood?”. Designed for IT leaders and tech-savvy participants, this session delved into advanced topics such as migrating mobile applications to multi-platform solutions, transforming legacy systems, and preparing them for the cloud. The meet-up also covered Kubernetes load balancing, providing practical guidance for optimizing system performance and preparing organizations for future growth.

Spectacular Conference Day with AI revolution as backdrop for outstanding outcomes

Ailleron Innovation Forum hosts focused on keeping the agenda for this day sharp and engaging. It worked out perfectly with captivating discussion panels, inspiring success stories, and awesome presentations. Attendees listened with bated breath to the subsequent speeches and on-stage talks on generative AI, process automation, accessibility and customer engagement.

During the AIF technology conference, we had the opportunity to listen to 35 speakers from all over Europe (including case studies with our clients: EFL Group, Santander Bank Polska, ING). Summarising all the speeches in one article is impossible, so let’s focus on 3 engaging panel discussions with our clients and technology partners. Each panel, preceded by previous presentations or case studies within the same thematic cluster, referred to the latest trends and threw a very revealing look at many of the issues and challenges faced by the biggest innovators in the financial and IT industry.

First, the #AIWave cluster with “Navigating the AI Wave” panel discussion, during which esteemed speakers discussed how AI drives innovation and helps financial institutions stay competitive in an ever-evolving financial market. There were a lot of AI-driven solutions from Damian Ragan (VP of the Management Board, Credit Agricole Bank Polska), Bartłomiej Nocoń (Head of Digital Banking & Payment Systems, ZBP), Andreas Becks (Strategic Advisor, Ab Initio Software) and Michal Walerowski from Ailleron, who moderated this panel.

Next, the #InsclusiveDesign cluster with “Driving Growth in Finance: The Impact of Accessibility, Inclusivity, and Personalization”. This panel featuring: Jan Wardecki (Head of User Experience Design, BNP Paribas), Daniel De La Fuente (Service Design Lead, George Labs), Piotr Zrolka (CPACC – CEO, UX Designer & Accessibility Expert, Kinaole) and Patrycja Leszek-Królikowska (UXLab Director, Ailleron – Moderator) revealed very thoughtful and ingenious approach on accessibility, inclusivity, and personalization in the financial sector.

Finally, the #FinanceTechspace content cluster with “Digital vs. Human Advisors: Striking the Right Balance in Sales and Customer Service” panel. It was a hot panel discussion between Agnieszka Bonetyńska (Director SME E-Banking, PKO BP), Blanka Joanna Pilch (Product Owner, Santander Bank Polska), and Łukasz Parzyk (Expert Lead, ING Bank Śląski S.A.). Moderated by Bartłomiej Nocoń (Head of Digital Banking and Payment Systems, The Polish Bank Association -ZBP), it brought invaluable insights into blending innovation with the human touch in the banking sector.

The AIF conference concluded with György Lévay (Research Manager at Infinite Biomedical Technologies LLC) speaking about #HumanCenteredTechnology and the AI innovations closest to humanity, referencing his unique story. A few years ago, György, after receiving his first prosthetic upper limb, realized that these devices were not as efficient as they could be. His inherent experience led him to take a keen interest in AI technology and the intuitive machine learning method to control multi-joint prosthetic limbs. On the AIF stage, Gyorgy shared his insights far beyond technology services. It was a moving story about how we deal with the toughest challenges in life with the support of the newest technology, leaving attendees with deep thoughts about the synergy of artificial intelligence and humans.

Top-notch networking and collaboration: shaping the future together

The first edition of the Ailleron Innovation Forum in 2023 brought together nearly 100 experts and financial industry professionals who delved into five thematic blocks: innovation blast, to the cloud, all about the data, sales boost and customer-centricity. The newest second edition, #AIF24 with 200 ettendees, highlighted practical applications of AI tools within the finance industry and beyond, which drive efficiency, enhance customer experiences, and optimize operations by generative AI or no-code platforms.

The AIF 2024 conference was excellent in every aspect! The workshops on the first day showed activity and commitment from the clients, which will undoubtedly pay off in the future for both parties. On top of that, the selection of topics and the agenda for the conference was excellent, and the #InclusiveDesign content cluster with the UX topics was an absolute phenomenon. We already know that next year will be even more inspiring, although we have already set the bar very high this year!
