On 12 – 15 February, the International HO.RE.CA 2016 Expo took place in the Metropolitan Expo in Athens. The cyclical event, during which manufacturers of equipment for restaurants and hotels have an opportunity to present their products, is the biggest event of its kind in the Balkans. The event, which lasted for 4 days, was visited by over 200 000 people, who could see products offered by over 520 exhibitors. Of course, representatives of our company were also there, presenting our flagship product – iLumio – to a wider audience.
The HO.RE.CA 2016 Expo in Athens was a perfect opportunity to promote Polish manufacturers of devices and equipment for hotels and restaurants.
Greece, a country with over 10 thousand hotels, is a significant import market for such products.
“Despite the fact that the majority of exhibitors presented gastronomy and hotel equipment, as well as foodstuffs, the interest in dedicated technologies for the hospitality industry was very big. During the expo we established cooperation with a partner who will take care of our interests, acquire new customers for us, and who will represent us in the local market. Greece is one of the most popular holiday destinations, with a strongly developed hotel industry (15 thousand hotels), which has to face the dynamic development of new technologies, like many other sectors of the market. The implementation of solutions that will lead to an improvement in customer service, venue functionality or the amenities offered by the venue is one of the key challenges awaiting the owners of holiday resorts,” said Justyna Michalczyk, iLumio Managing Director at Ailleron SA
