FinTechWeek 2024, hosted by Fintech Austria in the beautiful city of Vienna, has come to an end. From November 18–22, 2024, the event, hosted at the Banking Association in Vienna, brought together nearly 1,000 global finance & banking professionals, entrepreneurs, and tech enthusiasts. In partnership with top financial institutions, startups, and software providers, this annual event featured workshops, networking sessions, and keynotes divided into tech-related thematic events.
On November 21, Ailleron co-hosted an accompanying event, “AI Leadership in the Financial Industry: Master the Chaos, Lead the Future,” with Michał Walerowski delivering an enthusiastically received presentation on “Unlocking the Power of GenAI: From PoC to Full-Scale Success.” In his keynote speech, Michał explained why many Generative AI projects remain stuck at the Proof of Concept (PoC) stage and addressed the question of whether moving from PoC to full-scale implementation is a path to success. His presentation highlighted common challenges like limited data integration, scalability issues, and unclear ROI, while providing strategies to help organizations transition from PoC to enterprise-wide GenAI success.
Michał shared the stage during the AI-centered event alongside Boris Gloger, CEO and founder of borisgloger consulting, and Adrian Cox, Managing Director at Deutsche Bank Research. The panel emphasized AI’s transformative impact on the financial sector and the leadership strategies needed to navigate it. Attendees discovered how to leverage AI for a competitive edge, risk reduction, and business resilience, with real-world examples showcasing its potential to optimize processes and unlock new growth opportunities.
FinTechWeek Vienna offered a remarkable platform for exchanging experiences and networking with the global fintech community. The accompanying events featured insightful presentations on topics such as the future of payments, cybersecurity, blockchain, and advancements shaping various segments of the fintech industry.
