Focus on Engagement: We're Launching the ALLgood Company App

In the beginning, there was an idea

It goes without saying that modern life, along with the pressure exerted by FOMO, doesn’t make life or work any easier. In the Employer Branding Department, we do our best to organize as many valuable initiatives as possible that contribute to employee well-being and engagement. One of our flagship projects is the annual well-being program, which we launch in the spring. While preparing this year’s edition, we decided to take a gamified approach. To avoid monotony, we set out to create a company app that would help us achieve this. How did this come about? Let’s walk through it step by step.

Engagement is important to us. It is one of the key factors influencing job satisfaction, productivity, efficiency, and the company’s success. It occurs when an employee performs their tasks with enthusiasm, energy, and a positive attitude, takes the initiative to suggest improvements, and identifies with the organization. It is not easy to achieve this state, let alone maintain and strengthen it. Unfortunately, the statistics and forecasts are not very optimistic. According to a 2022 Enpulse report, in Poland, 1 in 3 respondents stated that work is a source of excessive stress for them, which means that as many as 12% of respondents are completely disengaged. Meanwhile, 23% of those surveyed are characterized by low engagement and a tendency to quit. Is that a lot? Quite a lot, actually. This immediately raises the question...

    How can you foster engagement?

It’s no secret that compensation is the main motivator, but many studies and reports consistently point to a trend in which employees cite the following factors, among others, as key drivers of their engagement: additional benefits, recognition and rewards, the company atmosphere, professional and personal development, the employer’s image, and the scope of their work. As you can see, there is significant room for action and improvement. It is worth considering each of these aspects, keeping in mind not only the company’s interests but, above all, the well-being of the employees.

We got started with the ALLgood app

In an effort to operate on multiple levels and combine various aspects that boost engagement, we at Ailleron created the ALLgood app. It’s designed to build engagement, motivate action, foster growth, and encourage friendly competition. We started from the premise that gamification is a great motivator for increasing activity.

As part of the app, we’ve added a “to-do” list covering various areas of engagement. We’ve identified categories such as:

    • ENGAGEMENT – including webinars with experts and training sessions from our new edition of the #WELL-BEING program (which we’ll discuss later),
    • COMMUNICATION – regarding active engagement and posting on social media and internal communication channels.

We have planned additional categories for the next phases of our ALLgood app's expansion.

Each task is assigned a specific number of points—we call them ALLcoins. The idea behind ALLgood is that employees, as they complete individual tasks, report their progress and earn points, which they can then redeem for branded merchandise of their choice. Even after just these first few weeks since the app’s launch, we can see that gamification is exactly what our Aillerons have taken to.

What does our #WELL-BEING program look like this year?

This edition is part of a broader engagement program and is carried out through the ALLgood app. This year, during our meetings with specialists, we’ll cover topics such as resilience and brainbeining, among others. Once a week in the morning, we plan a variety of workout sessions, ranging from yoga and stretching, through spine health and self-massage, to a morning booster.

We’re not forgetting about sports activities either. In this edition, employees can join cycling, running, and hiking groups to work toward their fitness goals together, motivate each other, compete, and earn points. The program also includes relaxation sessions. As is tradition, we’ll open the summer chill zone on the first day of summer, and the program will conclude in October with a VR session. We have over 6 months ahead of us to focus on our well-being.

    In summary

The well-being and welfare of our employees are our top priority, because we firmly believe that this is crucial to their engagement and job satisfaction. Follow us on social media—LinkedIn and Instagram—to stay up to date on how we’re doing. And remember to take care of yourselves and your health amid the daily hustle and bustle. Stay well!
