Union Investment, one of the leading investment funds, has launched a Virtual Branch based on the LiveBank technology. Customers of the fund can now use video chats and interact with advisors without the need to visit a brick-and-mortar branch or the company’s headquarters.

Union Investment belongs to the Union Asset Management Holding Group, which manages around 200 funds worldwide, entrusted with EUR 251 billion by investors. In Poland, Union Investment TFI SA trades in capital of over PLN 11 billion, belonging to over one hundred thousand customers. In order to enable better cooperation with its investors, the fund decided to implement the LiveBank Virtual Branch, which has already been launched in more than 30 banks worldwide, such as mBank, Standard Chartered Bank or the Emirates National Bank of Dubai, and which serves about 150 million of their customers.

Launched in March this year at Union Investment, LiveBank enables investors to efficiently communicate with the Fund’s Advisers in order to consult on their investments, become familiar with the offer and current promotions or practical aspects of investing, as well as to carry out transactions during the call. Easily accessible and effective service is aimed at increasing satisfaction with the service and the transaction volume, as well as attracting new investors.

When we launched LiveBank at Union Investment, we worked on the basis of our experience gained during the implementation of LiveBank in over 20 countries. The project required cooperation on many levels, such as architecture and system integration, thanks to which the fund’s customers have a safe, modern and convenient tool for communication and cooperation at their disposal. We also plan to further expand Live Bank Virtual Branch with new functionalities, which will allow the Fund to gain an even greater competitive edge, says Adam Bugaj, Vice President of Ailleron SA and General Director of the Finance Department.

LiveBank, which was launched at the Fund, enables safe conversations with advisors over video, audio and chat channels, all of which are recorded and archived. During the call, customers can authorize transactions, and their interactive cooperation with an advisor will be supported by the option to share the screen with simulations and calculators, show materials or use interactive graphics tools to mark items on the shared materials, such as offers or contracts. Getting expert support during a face-to-face conversation, just like visiting a local branch, but from anywhere, gives the Fund the opportunity to hold their customer’s hand and lead them through complex investment processes, which significantly increases the chance of concluding a transaction. At the end of each call, customers fill out a satisfaction questionnaire, which allows the Fund to obtain immediate feedback.
